Startup Garage presents: The Essential 21st Century Skill

Details
Rewire your brain for a lifetime of learning
Join us for an engaging and interactive session where we will examine and dissect 21st Century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and more) and explore why they are so difficult - in fact potentially impossible - to teach. From there we'll explore the only truly future-proof life skill there is: the thirst for learning, why it’s so important and how to access and enhance your own and your organisations’ appetite and ability to learn.
Project Connect presents Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath (USA). Dr Cooney Horvath (Phd, MEd) is a neuroscientist, educator, and author of the new book Stop Talking, Start Influencing: 12 Insights from Brain Science to Make Your Message Stick.
He has conducted research and lectured at Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, the University of Melbourne and over 150 schools internationally. Jared's work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Economist, and NOVA. He currently serves as Director of The Science of Learning Group: a team dedicated to bringing the latest brain and behavioural research to teachers, students, and parents alike.
