Bill Orner, Director of Advanced Hardware at GoPro

Bill Orner is the Director of Advanced Hardware for GoPro, a manufacturer of sports video cameras. Mr. Orner’s 30 years in the Consumer Electronics industry includes working for Philips, Transmeta, MIPS, Lexicon as well as several startup companies in a variety of engineering and leadership roles. He has a BSEET from Northeastern University and a MSTM from Pepperdine University. Mr. Orner is a member of the IEEE and SMPTE, he currently serves as the secretary of the IEEE CE Society and also serves on standards committees for CEA, USB and VESA.

Shahin Farschi, Partner of Lux Capital

Shahin is a Partner of Lux Capital http://www.luxcapital.com/ based in the Palo Alto office and has been with Lux Capital since 2006. Before joining Lux, he held technical positions at General Motors and several Silicon Valley technology startups. Shahin holds MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Management from the University of California at Los Angeles and has also served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the UCLA department of electrical engineering.
