SIP - MIXED GAME FRENZY!!

SIP Restart We wanted to address what re-starting may look like for SIP. These policies will not make everyone happy. We are taking steps to balance the risk of infection, with our desire to return back to our normal lives. Keeping everyone safe is our first priority. I have been called by many players wondering when we would restart. My answer has always been the same. “Not until we can do it in a safe manner”. We have to follow NYS guidelines & NYS Liquor Authority regulations, while trying to keep safe. We have spent many hours and had many conversations trying to figure out how to operate while limiting risk. The first phase of re-opening will happen in venues that are in compliance with all state regulations. Currently, there is no indoor dining in NYC. There is a limit of 10 people per table. When we restart, we will institute a few things that we hope will make our game safer. First and foremost, we will require that everyone at our games wear a mask. No player will be dealt cards if they do not have a mask. The wearing of masks will be a non-negotiable issue. If we have learned anything, it is that masks go a long way towards helping groups from spreading the virus. Dealers will give sanitizer to every player that sits at their table. Every time a player gets up, and sits down again, the dealer will provide sanitizer. Eating will not be allowed at the table. Players will have to eat at a separate table. We will coordinate with venues to make this seamless. We will try to limit the number of players to 7-8 players per table. Less than the 10 person limit mandated by state regulations. We will be limiting the total number of players at our games. Each venue has different capacity. We will not have a set number for all venues. We fully understand that some players may not want to comply with our policies. If that is the case, we suggest that you refrain from coming to our games. We will not budge on these policies until the circumstances with Coronavirus changes. We want to remind everyone that we will not be returning to business as usual. Here’s what restarting looks like: 1) Everyone at our games will be required to wear a face covering. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS. We will consider adequate face coverings to be surgical face masks, N95 masks, cotton multi layered cloth masks and face shields. 2) Everyone will have their temperature taken upon entering the venue. Anyone with a temperature exceeding 100 degrees will be precluded from playing. 3) All players will sanitize their hands every time they sit at a table. 4) We will try to limit tables to 7-8 players. 5) We will have limitations on the number players we can accommodate. 6) Chips, cards and all equipment will be sanitized after every game. We thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. See you on the felt!
