HIKEFit - The Pipeline Descent with City Views
HIKEFit will meet at the beginning of Davidson Trail in Davidson at 6.30am. We first descend into Garigal National Park via a very Steep Path. (poles are recommended). We have done this hike several times however we have found a new way out of the park. This is a beautiful loop track allows us a Snack stop half way through our Hike at The Cascades, we then head up a steep bush track, which is also an unknown Mountain bike track, to a management trail, which at one end has the most magnificent views of Sydney. To return to the cars we need to traverse some streets for about 1.5km. Allow around 2.5hours for the Hike and stretching. If you have time at the end, you can practice your 'Hills Climbs' on this hike. If you are wanting to try our hikes but worried about this one as your First, you can park at the exit point of the park and reduce the hike by 2KM. Please talk to me about this option. HIKEFit is all about getting you Fit in Nature . We walk fast on the flat and at your own pace up hills. This is a two + hour exercise program, which is far more enjoyable than hitting the treadmill a the gym. As a qualified fitness trainer and with wilderness first aid certification, my aim is to help you get fit, be happy and healthy in nature. It is essential you wear appropriate Walking Gear with stable shoes, sunhat, sunblock, and bring plenty of water (1.5Litres) and a snack. I encourage members to have breakfast beforehand so you body has enough fuel to handle the hike. I have posted a few questions upon registration that I require you to answer to ensure you are able to handle this walk from a Medical viewpoint. HIKEFit Multi Hike packages are now available. Would you like to get Fit through Hiking?
As a qualified Fitness Trainer and with my Wilderness First Aid Certificate I take people out each week Hiking through Sydney's National Parks to get fit, happy and healthy.
This is about getting FIT in Nature .. there are wonderful mental health benefits as well as the Physical. You will need to allow 2-3Hours for each Hike.

I recommend anyone who enjoys being outdoors, wants to maintain or increase their fitness levels should join my HIKEFit Program. Age is no barrier, infact the average age of my Hikers is 54.

If you are about to go on the Trek of a lifetime are you physically and mentally prepared? I have climbed and trekked many mountains throughout the world and have the experience to train you correctly for the challenge ahead. These walks are a great way to being your training journey.

Each Hike is slightly different in terms of KM hiked, ascent of descent , gradients of the hills. Each designed to challenge you and your fitness, however, NOT in a bootcamp sort of way.

Another benefit of exercising in nature, is you are hiking with 12 other like minded individuals, what a great way to meet you people and learn new things, all while getting fit. I have had many Small Business Owners join my Hikes and we spend a lot of time discussing business issues.

There are limited spots on each walk and depending upon difficulty, as such I will ask about your current state of fitness.
