This is a meet-up group for anyone with an interest in finding out what plants are edible, how to identify them, how to eat them, recipes.I'd love to see you at one of my foraging events, where I take you out and show you the plants you can eat, and what poisonous plants to watch for. There is also a casual meet-up where we meet and chat about plants/ foraging over a drink.I look forward to meeting you soon :)IMPORTANT:Remember only eat plants that you are 100% sure you have correctly identified. If you have any doubts, do not eat it.When trying a new plant for the first time, eat a small amount as some people can have reactions to new foods.Take only what you need and will use. Think about sustainability and other people and the plant's, insect's/bird's/animal's needs.Forage where you have permission or on public areas. Look for clean, healthy plants, pick from higher up to avoid dog/animal wee.Make sure you know that no pesticides/sprays have been used.Think about what the land you are collecting from was used for before, e.g old landfill sites, may contain remnants of toxins in the soil so be aware.Remember it's against the law to dig up any plants without permission, or any nature reserves/ sites of specific interest. So keep those roots in the ground.
