Knitting, crocheting and coffee at Starbucks
Bring a knitting or crochet project you are working on and join us for coffee at our weekly meeting at Starbucks! We also offer to teach knitting at every meeting to beginners who would like to learn to knit. Beginner kits with yarn and needles are available for purchase at every meeting! Money stuff: We collect one dollar at each meeting from each person attending to help cover the cost of the meetup fees and other group related events. You also have the option to pay $45 for dues for the whole year instead of paying weekly. If you would like to learn to knit, please bring an additional $10 to buy the beginning supplies or you may bring your own yarn & needles from home to avoid the beginner kit fee. Hope to see you there!!

    What we're about

Knitting, crocheting and coffee mix well together. So bring your yarn and come join us at the Starbucks in the Kohl's shopping center at Oxford Valley Rd. and Big Oak Rd. Enjoy coffee and company, work on your latest yarn project, or browse knitting/crochet catalogs for ideas. Look for our centerpiece – a basket of yarn with pink knitting needles. You will see our centerpiece at each meeting, so our group will be easy to find.

If you have always wanted to learn how to knit, you are in luck! Beginners are welcome. I have successfully taught over a dozen people how to knit and would be happy to teach you. At each meeting, a beginner’s kit is available for $10 with everything you need to get started (yarn, needles & point protectors). All you need to do is pay for the supplies when you come to your first meeting. Unfortunately, I am terrible at crochet, so I can’t teach you how to do that!

Advanced knitters and crocheters are very welcome! It's always great to have someone there to help explain a pattern or give advice on a yarn technique. Plus you always seem to have really awesome projects to show off!

    Hope to see you soon!

Note: Starbucks is kind enough to let us use their space. Please consider supporting their store by purchasing food or drink from Starbucks when you attend a meeting.
