What we're about
Hello and welcome!
If you're an active member of the infosec community, your job or hobby involves hacking, security research and experiments, if you're studying or learning to work in this field then this meetup might be interesting for you.
My goal is to have regular (at least once a month) meetings so that we get together and discuss trending topics, recently published researches and vulnerabilities or techniques or simply learning from each other. Ideally participants would present what they have learned or worked on since the last meeting or help newer members to learn about something they are struggling with or are interested in.
This is NOT going to become yet another conference, rather a small community of participants who would like to share and exchange their experiences in a friendly atmosphere on regular basis. If we get enough active participants, we could schedule BSides (http://www.securitybsides.com/) for Stockholm in parallel, which will be a less frequent event.
To initiate the first meeting we will wait until a few number of participants join the group. Meanwhile you can start with the discussions (https://www.meetup.com/Stockholm-Computer-Security-Meetup/messages/boards/) or polls (https://www.meetup.com/Stockholm-Computer-Security-Meetup/polls) pages.
We will set a few main topics for each event based on the group's interests.
Topics are including but not limited to:
• Security research
• Web application security
• Software security
• Penetration testing, security auditing
• Exploit development / reverse engineering
• Code (security) auditing
• Embedded device (hacking)
• Wireless/radio/RFID/GSM/... hacking
