What we're about
This is a group about self improvement through science, especially psychology, and applied math. Our ideal members are people who want to be their best selves and are willing to put in a little work to achieve that. You should be willing to do back-of-the-envelope calculations and change your mind when you receive a convincing argument.
You should join because you'll learn useful things and meet level-headed friends. You can expect talks and workshops every week or two, where one person will present material, followed by an informal discussion. Typical topics include decision theory applied to everyday life, cognitive biases to watch out for, techniques for achieving goals, and the latest research on health and nutrition. Looking forward to swapping tips and clear-headed debate with everybody!
