For those of you who missed this exciting talk last time, now you have one more chance!!

Let's say you have a big production database, containing terabytes of data. What if each developer in your company could have a personal copy with all this data, at almost no additional cost? This is possible by creating snapshot copies of your Oracle database!

In Exadata ASM, a snapshot is usually based on a test master, which is a full clone of the source database. In the ASM Cluster File System (ACFS), its possible to create multiple snapshots with minimal additional storage and effort. Each snapshot is a logical copy of the test master.

In Exadata Exascale, a snapshot can be created from any database with just a single command!

Göran Paues from Tradedoubler will show how snapshot copies can be created, using Exadata clusters in Oracle Cloud (OCI).
