JSON Support in Oracle Database - what's possible and what makes sense?

JSON is not a new data format but still gaining popularity in all aspects of data management - including databases.

In this talk, Beda Hammerschmidt (developer in the Oracle database team) will give an overview about JSON in the context of (relational and noSql) databases: when does it make sense to use JSON as persistency model and how can JSON be processed with the Oracle Database?

Beda will also present the SODA-API which provides easy CRUD access to JSON data - similar to No-SQL document databases.

The target audience are DBAs who want to learn about new features of the Oracle Database as well as developers and architects interested in modern and agile application development.
