During this workshop you will hear the work of three writers sharing their original writing of up to 5,000 words each. If you are interested in sharing your work you must contact the moderator, Cassie, to reserve a reading spot.
Cassie is a Fiction Fellow at Emory University where she teaches creative writing. Cassie also has a master's degree in creative writing from The University of Oxford and has also studied creative writing at the University of Iowa. Cassie has been moderating writing workshops for many years and her writing has been published by top literary publications like The Kenyon Review, Tin House, and Granta, and has been shortlisted by the BBC.
To make the best use of the time we have, and to have the most productive discussions, here are some guidelines for the workshop.
1) The writer whose work is being critiqued will read their work out loud.
2) During the discussion of their work, the writer will remain silent and take notes.
3) After the critique the writer will have a few minutes to ask specific questions if some part of the feedback was unclear.
If you would like to have your writing workshopped, please send a message to Cassie or write a comment below. You will also need to bring a ten extra copies of your story so that others can read along and make notes. It's also a good idea for everyone to bring a notebook and a pen.
**This workshop has a 80 SEK participation fee.**
