What kind of stories do you think are missing from the world?

Ones that try to tackle technical complexities as well as tell great stories - economics, tech, science, international news features/pieces that don't just reconfirm the viewer's perception of a stereotype but build in that country's culture and norms, stories about women, stories about the environment - the truly voiceless, video stories that are like magazine pieces: timeless because they are so beautiful and reward watching over and over again and draw power from aesthetic, stories that are not about protest movements - stories outside of the Square.

I'm a current documentary student at Columbia Journalism School, previously a freelance foreign correspondent in South America for BBC, The Economist, The Guardian, TIME. Specialise in radio, moving into video. Brit in NYC.
