Gayatri Mantra Meditation Mini Retreat

This month's Mini Retreat will be focused on bringing in more Light and Enlightenment for ourselves and all, working with Mantra Meditation using The Gayatri mantra to help us focus our minds in the present sensation of Sacred Sound.
(we will be using the long form aka Seven Chakra Gayatri Mantra)

Please bring what you will be comfortable for 4 hours in (cold?) air conditioning...No lunch break, possible early bird after.

Entering in silence, please leave shoes by the inside door to help sanctify our place of practice.

1. Om (the Pranava).
   The Pranava Principle represents the eight different forms of Wealth (ashta-aishvarya).
   "Wealth" in the context of Ashta-Lakshmi means prosperity, good health, knowledge, strength, progeny, and power.
2. Om Bhuh Om Bhuvaha Om Swaha: the unity of Body, Mind and Speach
   Om Maha Om Janaha Om Tapaha Om Satyam: clearing balancing & opening the higher chakras.
3. Thath-Savithur-varenyam: (with line 4) translates to, Light dispels darkness –without Light, darkness will not go.
4. Bhargo Dhevasya dheemahi: translates to, “Throw away the darkness.”
5. Dheyo yo hah prachodayaath: translates to, “Let the effulgence Prajna's Light dispel the darkness of ignorance.” Gayatri means ‘that which liberates, when repeated’! It is the torch of Spiritual Wisdom. (Prajna)

If you don't know this mantra before you get here you may be steeped in it to the point of remembering before you leave.
Working with this mantra helps to activate the lokhas (worlds, chakras) in our awareness and specifically working with Light asking for the blessing of Enlightenment for ourselves and all.
