We play volleyball at the Faith Covenant Church gym in Sumner on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 7 PM. RSVPs and payment must be made via Meetup in order to play. There is a $3 fee which helps us to buy new equipment, donate to the church for use of their gym and to pay the Meetup expenses involved. We limit participation to a maximum of 18 players on any given night as there is only one court.
This is open-gym, co-ed, recreational, level B volleyball.
What is "level B" you ask?
In all areas of the country there are primarily 5 levels of adult volleyball competitiveness. They are Beginner, B, BB, A, and AA.
A "B" player is still in the early learning stages of the game but knows the skills. A "B" player knows how to bump, set (a little), and spike. But a "B" player has a lot of practice yet to go to be able to do these skills consistently. A "B" player may makes mistakes often.
We will generally have one or two BB players show up and an occasional A player... but the level of play generally stays at a B level. We state this because a beginner will likely feel intimidated at this level and an advanced player will likely be bored.
