Founded in 1969, Sunburst’s purpose is to create a fertile environment, within and without, to cultivate spiritual growth and nurture each seeker’s direct experience of the Divine. This is the journey of Self-Realization!
We facilitate spiritual education and support through workshops, retreats, meditation, our Sunday services, and devotional song circles, as well as classes and initiations in Kriya Yoga: the universal science of uniting the soul with the Infinite Spirit.
In accordance with our mission, Sunburst is also passionate about exploring and implementing the principles of sustainable Earth stewardship through permaculture and organic gardening.

This one day “mini retreat” is an inspiring way to reconnect with your creative spirit surrounded by a supportive creative community, and guided into the art process with Kathy Leader, creativity coach. We will enjoy the welcoming, peaceful atmosphere of Sunburst’s meditation and wildlife sanctuary while we let go of all that confines us.
The day consists of self-reflection, intention setting, freeform abstract painting and mixed media techniques. Like our many layered lives, our art process encourages layering which is achieved through painting, drawing, collage, and printing. You do not need to have previous experience, just a desire to bring more creativity and openness into your life. Our emphasis is on freeing our inner critic by working mindfully and intuitively with the nurturing support of artist and creativity coach, Kathy Leader. The goal is to leave feeling replenished and inspired to continue your home practice!
A vegetarian lunch is included. Most needed materials are provided.
