Dr. Derek Buzasi’s research interests include almost anything having to do with stars, including various aspects of stellar (and solar) activity, such as spots, flares, and winds, and he has done both observations and theoretical work. He has published more than 140 papers and has also worked on a variety of major instrument teams. He is currently a member of the core science team supporting asteroseismology with NASA’s TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite).
