# Welcome to Sundance Outdoor Adventure Society
Sundance is a volunteer-driven LGBTQ+ outdoor and social community serving the NY–NJ–CT region and our allies.
Whether you're an experienced hiker, an occasional adventurer, or simply looking to meet new people, we're glad you're here.
Many of our members attend their first event on their own, so if you're feeling a little nervous, you're not alone. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can participate at their own pace.
