Our theme this month is OUR HOME - PLANET EARTH

Our main speaker, Dr Jana Grcevich, will discuss our planet from the eyes of an astrophysicist.

And to tell us about his journey down the road of going green, our very own Jonathan Tobert. He will explain why NYC is not the environmental disaster many people think, but in fact the greenest city in America, and talk about his efforts to be green in the suburbs.

Our host is Raymond Arnold

Music will be Raymond Arnold and Jack Lucentini, as well as the first performance of the Sunday Assembly Choir!

Dr. Jana Grcevich has a PhD in astrophysics from Columbia University, and is presently a postdoctoral fellow at the American Museum of Natural History. Her research interests include dwarf galaxies, including the relationship between dark matter and stars and gas in these galaxies.

Jonathan Tobert is a medical researcher by trade, with a long-standing interest in renewable energy. He’s a former bicycle commuter, lives in a solar-powered house, drives an electric car and is proud to be a nerd.
