Yes! In May our big arts-and-music event is the FIRST Sunday, so we can avoid conflicting with Mother's Day on the 13th and you can all take Mom, or a friend, out to a long brunch next week!

On May 6, we welcome speaker Eliott Canter on how social groups -- including secular communities like Sunday Assembly -- can and should squelch sexual harassment and make everyone be safe and feel safe. Eliott has spent a long career both conducting sexual harassment investigations on behalf of organizations and working with businesses and social groups -- including major national secular groups -- develop policies to combat sexual harassment and to respond promptly to complaints.

Eliott is helping put sexual harassment in the garbage bin.

Now, there's an empowering topic, yes? So we'll extend that theme with some amazing songs from our Unnamed Assembly Band to empower you to get happy and sing along.

Look for a reading that will also empower you. Our own Nena G will amaze you with her reading of "Witches" by Fleassy Malay. Be charmed by married couple -- and research scientists -- Bryan G and Parker R, who will be "Trying Our Best." They fell in love at a West-Coast Bible college -- so you know it's a great story.

Enjoy great danceable songs with the rocking Unnamed Assembly Band.

Best of all, get to know other people like you from our area, because life is better when you have a community to share it with!

Don't forget to sign up for the post-event lunch at its separate meet-up. We'll go to Amerigo's Restaurant again on West End Avenue. Our room seats 50, so it's helpful to have a head count in advance. We'd love to see you there.

Free child care in the kids education room from 10:00 a.m. Our team of adult volunteers has created an awesome curriculum of readings and crafts to entertain your kid and help them think about the themes we also focus on in our Assembly service.
