What we're about

Alert:

On March 16, to help stop the spread of Coronavirus, Gov. Pritzker ordered the closing of all restaurants in IL for two weeks. As you can imagine this is devastating to small family-owned businesses like the Eastgate Cafe where we hold our jam session every week. (Without the Eastgate there is no jam session - or other entertaining events.)

Although the order prohibits serving patrons on the premises, restaurants are still allowed to sell food for delivery or pickup. So I'm writing to ask if you would help support our jam session by ordering take-out from the Eastgate for lunch or dinner.

If you haven't eaten at the Eastgate before - you're in for a treat. The food is excellent, the choices interesting and varied and the prices are very affordable. You can check out the menu online at eastgatecafe.net, call 708-660-9091 for delivery or pick-up. Although the Eastgate is in Oak Park, they'll deliver anywhere within a 30 minute drive. Thank you for supporting live jazz - and for helping the Eastgate during these troubled times.

If you love great Jazz Jams and delicious gourmet food but hate paying cover fees, searching for places to park, driving long distances and getting lost in strange neighborhoods we’ve got the answer for you.
The Sunday Professional Jazz Jam at the Eastgate Café!

Located on Harrison Street in Oak Park, the Eastgate is 2 blocks west of the Austin Exit of 290. That means its between 20 to 30 minutes from the Loop (depending on time of day) door to door! Once you arrive, you'll find that on the street parking is FREE and plentiful. (It's a residential neighborhood and one of the safest in Chicagoland.)

The Eastgate is known for excellent cuisine that includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza and gourmet entrees of chicken, pasta, fish and more. It has a full bar, choice of wines and beers and special cocktails. What else? A GREAT HOUSE BAND, plus some of the finest musicians and vocalists in Chicago sit in every week.

And, if all that weren't enough - THERE IS NO COVER CHARGE!!!
