Naples Island 6 mi loop hike Start/finish Ballast Point Brewery, Optional Dinner

INTRODUCTION: I’m grateful and excited to join Sunrise to Sunset as the newest group organizer. With input from all I look forward to creating fun, exciting hikes along with social gatherings. Open to all ideas on hikes, gatherings, restaurants, tail gate potlucks, music gatherings (I play guitar). The most fun I’ve had at events are ones that combine several of these into one event, i.e., hikes with after hike tail gate potlucks and music (some group singing and dancing have been known to break out at a few of these), also hikes with after hike restaurant meetups are great. THIS EVENT: Let’s immerse ourselves in this first of many hikes from Ballast Point Brewery Long Beach start, Marina Peninsula to loop around the stunning Naples Island, back to Ballast Point Brewery for optional dinner, sunset over the bay, and fellow hiker companionship.

Join the group in immersing ourselves in the exciting yet serene beauty of Naples Island, surrounding bays and beaches. A flat, 6 mile, two-hour, moderate pace hike. It is considered advanced beginner because of the distance. We will meet in the parking lot of Ballast Point Brewery (110 N Marina Dr. Long Beach) walk Marina Peninsula to Naples Island, circle the island and back to Marina Peninsula and Ballast Point Brewery. As the route has lots of twists and turns with no sweep, please plan to hang with the group. Pre-apply sunscreen, bring hat with tie string, water, light jacket, tennis shoes are fine. The hike is dog friendly, but no dogs in restaurant. Restroom access limited, go before you come. Optional dinner at Ballast Point Brewery after hike. All meal and drink orders are on phone, we order individually, credit card required. Start hike at 5:30 pm but will wait up to 15 min if you message me.
