About us
There hasn't been a general meet up group just for going out in Stroud - until now! This is for people want to socialise in Stroud and the surrounding areas and meet others from this lovely part of the world. Nights out include going for drinks, comedy evenings, seeing live music and even some wildlife watching. Days out include walks, hikes and festivals. If you have any suggestions please let me know. The aim is to have fun and make new friends and not have to travel too far!
Please note that you take part in any activity at your own risk. If you take part in something like a hike please ensure you are properly prepared with the correct equipment and a suitable level of fitness.

I believe Twickets is a good website to look for second hand tickets for those who can't make it. This promises to be a great gig.

Suzanne Vega will perform a career-spanning show including favorites like “Tom’s Diner”, “Luka”, “Marlene On The Wall”, and many more, plus songs from her latest album, Flying with Angels, which was released in May 2025 to critical acclaim. She will be joined on stage by her longtime guitarist, Gerry Leonard (of David Bowie fame), and cellist Stephanie Winters.2 attendees
Stroud Shindig 2026 - "A big party for the best town there is"
Stroud Subscription Rooms, George Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GBThe Stroud Shindig is always such great fun. The range of music is diverse, and there's always such a great atmosphere. If you're not into loudness, there's a chillout zone, too! And food! What more could you ask? As for the music, I saw Robbie Duncan DJing at a Sub Rooms event recently, and he was wonderful. There was a great disco vibe to it.

Come along to Stroud's biggest party! Back for 2026, our iconic Shindig is a celebration of this wonderful town and a chance to grab a drink, let loose and get your groove on.
We're ecstatic to announce a line-up of the incredible ANTWERP GYPSY SKA ORKESTRA, all the way from Belgium. They'll be bringing their unique blend of ska, reggae and authentic Roma music to The Subs and we can't wait! Cardiff based YEAR OF THE DOG will be gracing us with their swing band party vibes to the stage. Best known for their inclusion on the Netflix's Sex Education soundtrack, we can't wait for you to discover their funky sound. Last but by no means least we have local legend, and resident Shindig dj ROBBIE DUNCAN bringing his unique fusion of Jazz, Soul, Funk & House.
PLUS an amazing selection of incredible DJs from The MUSIC WORKS in the café for our garden party takeover.
We will have delicious street food coming out of our kitchen thanks to our Chef Lyns (vegan options available), we'll have the chill out zone back in our George Room, and the wonderful Majik Marco will be proving some brilliantly magical entertainment throughout the evening.
