This was to be a closed group session which has been moved to another date, hence the late notice.

Experience how woodland can help your Physical, Mental & Emotional Health.

Forest Bathing+ involves a two hour immersive experience, ideally within ancient woodland. The two hour session is scheduled for 10.30am - 12.30pm, but please allow an additional 15 minutes either side for meeting up and returning to the car park. This Winter Forest Bathing+ session which will take place in all weathers except 30+mph winds

Forest Bathing is an elementary practice (children instinctively enjoy nature this way) which can elicit surprisingly positive reactions. In a nutshell, it can be described as mindful time under the canopy of trees using the senses. Deep breathing is also encouraged; Japanese research uncovered essential wood oils help boost our immune system.

Some of the scientifically proven benefits of spending time in woodland include reduced stress levels, stronger immune system response, and a stabilised cortisol cycle.

During the session you will be provided with a sequence of sensory exercises designed to calm the body and mind. Whilst this might sound strange, in practice participants love it! If you have ever wondered about the healing benefits of nature, this session should give you a chance to experience it for yourself. To get a better idea of what to expect, please see the Fcaebook videos below.

This is a case study sessions as your FB+ Guide, Joanna, is still undergoing training. There is no charge for attending the case studies, but we do ask that you give your honest feedback afterwards. Notes will also be taken during the event, which will be shared (anonymously if preferred) with the training supervisors who are unlikely to be present at the event. There are parking charges at Newlands Corner of £1.30 per hour, you will need a minimum of 3 hours parking or you can park all day for £5.

This session must be booked as a pre-event briefing and documentation needs to be completed.

We will undertake mindfulness sensory exercises during the session and participants will be asked to refrain from talking to each other (and avoid other distractions such as mobile phone use) so that all participants can gain the full benefits from the surroundings. Friends are welcome to join us provided they are keen to adopt the rules (and not seeing it a general catch-up). Please email me on jo@harmonyhealing.co.uk with your availability as soon as possible.
