Mail-in/ Drop-off ATC Swap- Element: Holiday
You will need to create as many ATCs as those who sign up by the 1st of the month. THE ATCS SHOULD ALL BE THE SAME (or as close as you can get!). Each month I will list a different element to use, or theme, or medium to try. You must sign up by the 1st of the month so members have enough time to create/ mail or drop-off completed ATCs. If you are mailing the ATCs, please mail at least 5-7 days in advance of deadline so they all arrive to me in Southern California around the same time. YOU MUST INCLUDE A SASE (Self-address stamped envelope) for the timely return of your ATCs. Once I have received the ATCs from everyone that has signed up, I will trade them out and mail back to you within a week. If you are dropping off the ATCs, we will need to coordinate a time for you to pick-up the swaps, or drop off a SASE and I'll mail them back to you. Everyone loves snail mail! A little background: What are artist trading cards? Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade, and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". How did the movement start? In 1997, M. Vanci Stirnemann, a Swiss artist, created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world. There are also many online swaps. How do I create ATCs? Most swaps are open to any media, materials or techniques as long as the card fits into a standard trading card sleeve. ATCs are traded, not sold. However, there are some artists who choose to sell cards. Cards that are sold are called Art Card Editions and Originals (ACEO).

What we're about

I created this women's only group for members to swap items. Swaps may include greeting cards, original artwork, books/ magazines, ephemera, ATCs, clothing, recipes, and more... Some swaps will be virtual, some in person in Anaheim, and some that you mail in with a SASE. Check out the listed swaps for details. If you have an idea of something you want to swap, let me know and we can post it as well.

If you RSVP for a swap and fail to attend/ participate, without touching base with me if you can no longer attend/participate, you will be removed and possibly banned from the group
