What we're about

What we're about
Detroit Labs is excited to launch a Swift-focused Peer Lab ( http://peerlab.community/ ). Peer Labs are relaxed events where developers can hang out, chat, collaborate, and code. Bring a laptop and some code to hack on; what happens next is up to you. Work solo in a cool downtown space, seek collaborators to help you tackle tricky problems, or offer to share your expertise with others. Each event will be attended by Swift developers working here at Labs who will be learning new tech and contributing to open source projects.

Code of Conduct:
We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. This code of conduct applies to all Detroit Swift Peer Labs spaces, including this group on Meetup and at meetings, both online and off. Anyone who violates this code of conduct may be sanctioned or expelled from these spaces at the discretion of the organizers. Some Detroit Swift Peer Lab spaces may have additional rules in place, which will be made clearly available to participants. Participants are responsible for knowing and abiding by these rules.

A Place for Learning:
We'd love for you to bring your own project to work on, but if you need some guidance for learning resources or tutorials to explore, a great place to start is this recent WWDC talk "I Have This Idea For An App..." ( https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2018/203/ )

A Note to Recruiters:
We appreciate your interest in recruiting good developers, but we want to keep this meetup focused on the collaboration between our guests. We respectfully ask that you seek other methods and venues for recruitment.
