In August, we're going to be rolling up our sleeves and delving into a couple of areas that will take your knowledge of Front-end Development to the next level.

Tickets will be released on Thursday 27th July at 10am - so set your alarm!

On the night, doors will open at 6:30pm, with presentations starting at 7pm. There'll be some finger food and drinks provided.

CAN do Web Accessibility
Cherry Chau & Kin Chui

Web Accessibility is a vital part of the CBA development process. Why is Web Accessibility important to CBA and what measures and actions are taken to ensure all CBA online content is accessible to everyone

Kin and Cherry are both frontend engineers for CBA and both are Web Accessibility Champions. Kin is currently working in Commsec whilst Cherry is in Netbank/Commbank.

Stacking contexts are one of those tricky - simple at first glance, abstruse on closer inspection - features of CSS. They play a part in z-ordering, but there’s more to it than that. In this talk we are taking a deep dive into them: what they are, how they come about and, most importantly, why.

Use #sydcss (https://twitter.com/hashtag/SydCSS?src=hash) on Twitter to see who's out and about on the night.

Massive thanks to CBA for not only letting us use their fabulous space, but also for providing all the finger food and drinks. Make sure you say a big thanks to them on the night!
