Hey Blender Heads,
Since Blender 2.8 is now in Beta, we'd like to show off some of the new features.
In the first half of the meeting we will cover something for all level of users.
Chris Lee will introduce you to some of the main changes in Blender 2.8 (beginner friendly)
Wayne Dixon will show some off the new features in the Grease Pencil tool (beginner/intermediate)
And then James Crowther will talk about some of the python api changes. (intermediate/advanced)
Then in the second half of the meeting we will learn how blender head, Chris Hammang uses blender to communicate science. Even the experienced Blender pro will pick up a trick or to.
Here's a short bio on Chris...
Chris Hammang is an educational designer at the University of Sydney. He develops teaching activities and online learning environments for students across the Faculty of Science. Chris’ work incorporates biomedical animation, virtual reality, communication and visual design principles to enhance the digital literacy of students. His work is informed by 5 years experience creating acclaimed biomedical animations for CSIRO, Garvan Institute of Medical Research and Monash University.
With plenty of time to ask questions throughout the event, you will learn new skills and meet new friends.
