Most people settle for something which is not ideal for them. But then they also wonder, could I get something better or go into business instead? So there are 2 questions here: 1. What characteristics do I need to become successful as an entrepreneur? 2. Would an ideal job suit me better, and how would I get into it? We will be answering those questions for you. Our speakers will be: ED FEINER With 15 Years of Finance Experience including senior roles with Deloitte and Vodafone managing 14 staff, Ed gave it up to chase the business unknown by himself, working on deals worth hundreds of millions of dollars between companies in Israel and Australia. Ed is an example of someone who knows both the corporate and business world, especially coming from Israel where there are more startups than the whole of Europe combined. Ed is part of a group of successful business owners who meet every week to share their challenges and ideas. He will also give you the insight from his own and his those of his group about making it in business. Do you have what it takes? Are you going to make it? Who actually makes it? Who should stay in corporate and what you should do if you want to leave it? DICK LAM Having worked in more than a dozen industries including with CEOs and CFOs, as well as 2 recruitment companies, Dick is soon to be launching an online platform to train people in getting a new job including how to 'upsell yourself' in your resume and interviews to take on positions you might not otherwise be qualified for. This includes higher level positions and changing careers. So if becoming an Entrepreneur is not the best for you, perhaps it is a change in direction, or a better job? Dick will tell you how to upsell yourself into new areas, what skills you might need to attain (outside any formal qualifications which are not always highly regarded in Australia). A bestselling co-author with Richard Branson and Brian Tracy, Dick has also been on "Shark Tank" Style panels to evaluation Startup pitches and is also qualified to run individual programs to help people identify their purpose in life and evaluate how to achieve it through their career or business. JAZ FOX Jaz has spent over 2 decades with her own business in recruitment and training on hiring and recently began coaching others in their career direction. Should I start a business? Or get a different job? She as a master of assessing personality and suitability to various roles including if you will make it in business. A master networker, she was also awarded a Top Networker award by BNI (Business Network International) in her first year - an almost unprecedented achievement. So she will also be able to get aspiring entrepreneurs networking and develop valuable contacts.
