Sydney Game Developers is a community where game developers and game technology enthusiasts learn, network and have fun. We are makers, creators and thinkers who are passionate about game development and technology.
Our monthly Meetup provides an opportunity to hear what’s happening in the game development community from the experts. We fill the room with smart, accomplished, passionate developers, some free drinks and presenters who are experts in their field. Our diverse and highly technical members gather to talk tech, learn and network.
Why should you join?
• We’ll have guest speakers and presentations from industry leaders
• We love discussing the biggest issues and latest trends in game engine development
• Learn and challenge your skills
Through our Meetup you'll find a diverse community of professionals who are passionate about all facets of gaming, game development and game technology.
Each month we will discuss a topic relevant to our members. The talks will go for around 45 mins and will be followed by some networking and further discussions on the latest industry news and trends. Membership is free and open to anyone interested in game development, so come along and join us at our next Meetup!
From large crowds to small reactions, AI is one of the driving forces in the background of every game we play. When combined with great animation and realistic emotional responses they bring life to game worlds and create characters we want to spend time with. When done wrong though…
Bringing a wealth of experience gained in the creation of some of our favourite AAA experiences Liko-Paul will discuss the impact both good and bad AI can bring to games as well as how combining intelligent AI with realistic reactions and animations can result in a better experience for the player.
Liko-Paul Pinsonnault is a Product Director at Wargaming Sydney where he focuses on game technologies and game development across multiple studios.
