Join us for an ideation session on Natural Disaster Mitigation with the Red Cross and Project Owl
Project Owl won the Call for Code global challenge by building an IoT and software solution that keeps first responders and victims connected in a natural disaster. They won a $200,000 grand prize (presented by President Bill Clinton at the San Francisco Regency Ball Room) and the opportunity to deploy the solution through the IBM Corporate Service Corps, among other benefits.
Team Lead of Project Owl Bryan Knouse will be present and will talk about his journey with Call for Code and how he hopes to deploy their technology and solutions for those who need it most. Red Cross will be presenting data and statistics around the Floods, Fires and Drought that ravage Australia
This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear stories from the frontline of disaster recovery and an opportunity for you to provide ideas that may provide the biggest potential for saving lives and livelihoods.
