SLUG August meeting — Bitcoin, an Introduction and Overview

Details
Our main talk is Bitcoin, an Introduction and Overview of the First Global Real-Time Economy by Leo Treasure.
I've been using Bitcoin for over 2 years and have made a living trading in the rapidly growing market. I will give a break down of the technology, explain Bitcoin mining, give use cases for Bitcoin applicable both online and in the real world, as well as discuss some of the regulatory issues and future prospects for speculators and businesses considering entering the market.
As usual, there will also be lightning talks on the night; if you have something you want to share, something you found or used or wrote for Linux, please do put your name up on the board toward the beginning of the meeting.
Transit and parking info: The Google office is the big black building marked "Accenture" opposite Star City Casino Pirrama Road facade.
If using the trains, you can go either get off at; (a) Town Hall station, head towards Darling Harbour, walk across the Pyrmont footbridge and then follow Pirrama Road towards Star city; or at (b) Central station, then take the light rail to Star City.
If using the light rail, get off at Star City station and walk across the street. If using the buses, the route 443 stops right out front of the building.
If you drive, then you can look for parking on the suburban streets around the office (or pay for parking at the Casino), and then walk from there.
