Hello Serverless aficionados! We are back!

First, please note the new location. We have moved to Blue Chili which is at 125 York St, Sydney. The MeetUp will take place on the 20th of July (which is a Thursday).

As per usual we will have awesome talks on serverless, pizza and drinks. If you'd like to do a talk please let the organizers know via the MeetUp page. We are also thinking of running a panel discussion which should be a lot of fun. Finally, there will also be give aways so don't miss it!

Agenda:

#1 Quick Serverlessconf Austin debrief: what we saw, what we learnt, and what's coming up by Peter Sbarski & Sam Kroonenburg

#2 Advanced Serverless solution for Genome Engineering application in human health by Dr. Denis Bauer

Dr. Bauer will present GT-Scan2, a serverless implementation using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway and Angular2 services to improve the effectiveness for editing genomes in living cells. GT-Scan2 was featured by GenomeWeb and AWS Jeff Barr Blog (https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/genome-engineering-applications-early-adopters-of-the-cloud/)with talks at SparkSummit East and Strata London. It also won two iAwards (NSW) as Big Data/Machine Learning application of the Year and winner of the Industrial & Primary Industry Award. This approach offers the scalable solution needed for genome engineering approaches to revolutionize personalized cancer treatment.

#3 Serverless Panel A Q&A session on serverless architectures, operations and use cases with some of the leading experts in Australia. Submit your questions below or email them to [masked]. You'll be able to ask questions directly at the MeetUp too.
