C++ Meetup, Christmas Edition

Details
Hi everyone,
We are excited to announce our final Meetup of the year, on the 6th December from 6pm. We have two great speakers lined up:
Andrei Tarassov will be talking about how various types of globals work behind the scenes in C++.
Andrei is a senior software engineer and architect at Optiver with over 15 years of experience across industries and platforms, currently working in high frequency trading space. He likes pushing C++ to the limits and figuring out how stuff works.
Our second speaker, Tony Nguyen, will be examining v-tables as an attack surface. How does use-after-free and data races lead to control hijacking? Maybe static dispatch instead? Maybe just use C?
Tony has been writing bugs in games for over 10 years, and has recently understood why buffer overflows are bad.
Optiver will be the major sponsor at this event, big thanks to them for hosting their incredible space in the CBD on Hunter Street.
