What we're about

The Syosset Public Library has a Readers' Services Department for your book needs. Located on the 2nd Floor, all the Readers' librarians are there to help you find your next read, organize a book club, get information about authors and titles, and offer literary programming such as book discussions, title swaps, author visits, and training on the latest apps to read or listen to books.

Every month the Syosset Public Library hosts an afternoon and an evening book discussion. Please join a discussion lead by one of many SPL librarians. Each book is announced at least a month in advance with copies of the book available at the main circulation desk. Starting in summer of 2019 we host 2 title swaps each season to share favorite titles of books we love. Stay tuned for announcements regarding training on the different apps and databases you can read or listen to such as: Overdrive, Libby, or Hoopla!
