Details

The Cuse Video Game Jam is running from Friday Jan. 31 6PM-12AM, and then resume on Saturday Feb. 1 8AM-6PM. THE SITE WILL BE CLOSED OVERNIGHT AND THIS IS NOT AN OVERNIGHT HACKATHON.

Folks are welcome to continue to hack from home or a hotel room, but the venue will be closed from 12AM-8AM.

Friday 1/31 is starts off with snacks and introductions. Folks will then share what types of video or board game experience they have and pitch ideas for what type of game they want to make this weekend. Teams will then form and folks can start to build out what type of game they will make.

At 8 AM Saturday the ShareCuse venue opens again and folks can continue to hack with teams. Some snacks will be provided, there are restaurants and coffee shops in downtown Syracuse area that folks can visit, and folks are welcome to bring some food and drinks also. On Saturday at 6PM Hacking ends and the projects are shown to the group demoing and feedback.

Game creators are encouraged to stay for the whole event, but are welcome to come for part or all of either day! Syracuse has an awesome tradition of Hackathon's and building events, and we are excited to have an event focused specifically on game development!

The event is being held in the ShareCuse Coworking Space at:
224 Harrison St. It is in the Second Floor directly above Panini Restaurant and the front door to the building is directly to the left of Panini’s. ShareCuse is on the Second Floor in Suite 210 in Syracuse, NY.
