How do you make the biggest impact you can in a chief of staff role when you’re not the ultimate decision maker (your boss is)? The answer, of course, is influence. So, what does influence look like in this role, and how do use it to earn your seat at the C-suite/VP/exec leadership table not just once but continually? I’ll use an interactive presentation and small group discussions to: 1. Briefly explore how influence spans multiple competencies for people in chief of staff and quasi-chief of staff roles. 2. Briefly articulate some influencing principles, “currencies,” and key steps to influencing effectively. 3. Practice influence, using a relationship analysis template and a real-world CoS-specific case Increase your impact | Extend your influence |Shorten your learning curve
