Make glow in the dark clothes

Electro-luminescent (EL) wire is flexible wire that glows like neon when connected to a battery pack. With a needle and thread, you can stitch in onto a garment to create glow-in-the-dark clothing: great for halloween or school discos. This workshop is probably best for makers 10 years and older.

For this workshop you will need:

• Some skill with a sewing needle. We'll be stitching/tacking the EL wire onto our garments.

• An item of clothing onto which you will add your EL wire (a hoodie or jacket or something else suitable)

• Some $$$ to buy your EL wire (yes you'll be taking it home with you). Between $10 for a start kit and $30+ depending on how big your creative ambitions are.
