The Breakfast Club/NCC for Singles 50+ is a social club that provides a comfortable and friendly environment for active single men and women age 50 plus, an opportunity to share like interests and have fun.

The Club is a branch chapter of the Breakfast Club in Denver and Colorado Springs which together have over 400 members. The Breakfast Club is not affiliated with any business, political, religious, or special interest group. The club is designed to meet people in a social setting, make friends, enjoy activities with others, and to have a lot of fun. In addition to a monthly breakfast, club members volunteer to plan, organize, and host activities that occur weekly, monthly, or only occasionally. The Club is formatted after the very successful Breakfast Club in Denver which also has chapters in Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. At present, we are engaged in walking, hiking, skiing, biking, board games, plays, movies, travel excursions, etc.

We have a dynamic board with nine members on the Council. Our monthly breakfast meeting is held on the second Saturday of the month at Avogadro's No., on Mason Street with a full buffet just for our group. Come join us for a breakfast buffet and learn about all the activities planned in the upcoming months.

Just a note - I want to mention that we are more than our meetup site. Meetup is just another avenue for us to get the word out about our Club. Our chapter currently has 228 dues paying ($25.00 annually) members and most of them are on meetup.

We want our potential members to make sure that our Club is a good fit for them so we allow them to attend three different events before making a decision whether to join or not. These events would be events that are 'open to everyone' and not restricted to 'dues paying members'.

We do require you to have a recent picture of yourself (no group shots, pets, or scenic views) and a small bio in order to join our group. So please take a few minutes to complete the information.

Since we are growing by leaps and bounds we have found it necessary to implement a no-show policy. The policy is as follows -

If a member has 3 no-shows within a quarter, the member will automatically be placed at the bottom of the waitlist for every club event for the next 3 months. If a member changes their RSVP to ‘no’ within 12 hours of the event, they will still be considered a ‘no-show’.

We know that there are times when this cannot be avoided (sick, work etc.) so that is why we have made it 3 no-shows within a quarter. People that are on the waitlist and automatically move up as ‘going’ within 12 hours of an event will not be considered no-shows if they find they cannot attend the event at that late notice.
