Hello TBIC Members,

Something unprecedented is about to happen - the current acting Director of the USPTO is coming to visit and speak at our next inventors meeting, October 11th in Tampa from 7-8:45pm!

Last month, former TBIC president Randy Landreneau took part in a protest at the USPTO regarding a new procedure being used by patent infringers to invalidate an alarming number of patents. During the protest, Randy and Paul Morinville met and spoke with Joseph Matal, who recently stepped in as Director after Michelle Lee resigned. Mr. Matal has agreed to come to our meeting in Tampa to get a better idea of our issues and meet with our inventors!

This is a real honor for us and it is not normal for the head of the USPTO to attend an inventor club meeting. This gives TBIC a chance to have an impact on what is done at the USPTO and the future of innovation in America.

Every member must come to this important event next Wednesday and greet the head of the USPTO. Please put it on your calendar and I look forward to seeing all of you there!
