This Wednesday on TBIC Zoom: "What Investors Want & How to Position Yourself to Get the Funding You Need."
The most common complaint from inventors is the lack of capital to see their ideas come to life. We would like to think that a savvy investor would see the brilliance of your idea and dump buckets of cash at it but we all know that prospect is unlikely. Joining us on the Tampa Bay Inventors Council Zoom meeting on 7/14/21 at 6:15 pm is Dr. Russ Barnes, Colonel, USAF (ret), PhD. He will share some insights on what it takes to secure funding from investors and from other sources. He will talk about a variety of different ways to get capital and then focus in on how to approach investors. We will discuss several options for financing a project, reasons for pursuing funds, preparation for pitching, and how to best spend the money once you have it. Dr. Barnes will also share some resources that you can use to help prepare yourselves to attract funding. We will make this an interactive meeting, so I will call on members with questions through chat as we go and open it up for any additional questions at the end. This is an important topic to get right so take notes and listen, this could be what you need to advance your project and succeed. RSVP to join the call Wednesday, July 14th on zoom starting at 6:15!
See you there!
