In the wake of Sandy's humbling wrath on the Northeastern part of the country, I hope that all of your friends, family, and loved ones out there are safe and warm.

I wanted to share with you an email that a good friend sent me. I wont impose my beliefs upon you all, but this email was sent to me when I needed to see it the most...I'm sure there are days when we are tired from work/life, and feel battered and beaten doing whatever cause that we chose, only to realize that nothing has really been accomplished. Reading this email, and watching the TED video that it links to, renews that "spark" that I at least, desperately need.

I hope that you all enjoy Bryan's plea.

Thanks for this heartfelt message.  We are blessed to have each other and so far the years have just brought us closer.  I hope that trend continues.  Can't wait to see you in NY. This weekend two things happened I experienced serendipity.  On Saturday I read this article on LinkedIn, and saw the TED video at the end of the article I enjoyed it so much I ended up sharing on social media.  On Sunday I picked up the HKS magazine summer issue and couldn't believe that there was an article on Bryan Stevenson, the guy on the TED video I'm so impressed with Bryan Stevenson, our fellow HKS alumni.  Wow, I want to meet him.  I think I'll reach out.  It made me think there there are so many amazing HKS alumni just like him and we need to figure out how to find them and connect with them.  I'm very inspired by the work that Bryan is doing. See you soon. Joel, good luck we are rooting for you. Luis, best wishes on your campaign as well.  It's almost over .
