Welcome to the Bay Are's first Trans and Gender-Expansive Meditation Meetup.
Refuge for us means this group is for self identified Trans and Gender Expansive folks and lead by trans and gender expansive identified folks in our Bay Area communities and beyond. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming space for all folks under the Trans umbrella who are interested in practicing and exploring Insight/Vipassana meditation (the observation of your thoughts and body). This group is for beginners as well as folks who have been practicing for awhile. Founded by Fresh "Lev" White, you're facilitators will vary. There are so many wonderful folks leading now, you will want to come experience each of them.
Occasionally we'll post special events such as retreats and day longs which are for us only. On TDOR, we host a day long for us and invited family and friends.
It is my hope, and as expressed by some of the folks showing up already, to - together, deepen our mindfulness meditation practice, discuss some of the issues that may be up for us and build a mindful community for support, spiritual friendship, and play as you may desire.
