What we're about

The Monroe Institute® (MI) provides experiential education programs facilitating the personal exploration of human consciousness. It was founded by Robert Monroe, consciousness pioneer and author of "Journeys Out of the Body". Over the last 30+ years, thousands of people have attended the Institute's residential and outreach programs, and millions have benefited from its educational materials, which incorporates the patented and clinically proven audio technology, Hemi-Sync®.

The MI local chapter group in the Cincinnati area is an important component of the Monroe Institute’s new mission and direction --to play a key role in supporting MI graduates, introducing new people to the MI tools and processes, and providing resources and networking opportunities.

VIRTUAL Monroe Institute Local Chapter Meeting

Online event

Greetings All,
I am pleased to announce the monthly virtual gathering of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Monroe Institute, presenting Hemi-Sync® and Monroe Audio Support (MAS) neuro technology. This is a wonderful opportunity for all graduates of Monroe programs, as well as anyone who would like to experience these ground-breaking technologies.

WHAT IS Hemispheric Synchronization (Hemi-Sync®)?
Hemi-Sync® is a scientifically based and clinically proven "audio-guidance" technology that uses sound to influence brain-wave activity. Supported by over 50 years of research, Hemi-Sync® is an integral feature of the Monroe Institute's international success as a leader in consciousness exploration, self-discovery and transformation.
Participation is not predicated on any particular belief system or doctrine. The only philosophical point you are asked to consider as a serious possibility is that you are more than your physical body. Many who attend programs develop a different overview, a changed perspective from which life's experiences seem to take on a new significance.
Join Andrea Berger, certified Trainer for the Monroe Institute and Local Chapter Leader for the Cincinnati area, to experience some very special Hemi-Sync® guided meditations and group discussions.

TIME: 3 PM - 5 PM

LOCATION: Virtual, over ZOOM.

RSVP: Please RSVP by the night before the event. If you can't attend, please update your RSVP, so your slot is opened to someone else.

COST: Donation based. Suggested donation is $5 via Venmo (@Andrea-Berger-8) or PayPal ([masked]) to cover Meetup and Zoom fees.

HOW TO PREPARE: The meeting will be conducted using Zoom, a popular online platform for video conferencing, and interactive online instruction. The meditation audio exercise will also be streamed through the Zoom platform.

To have the best possible experience you will need:
• Sign up for a free Zoom account, if you do not have Zoom already.
• Download the Zoom desktop app to your desktop or laptop computer.
• If you are a Zoom user already, check for updates to make sure you have the latest version.
• Reliable high-speed internet access. To maximize your experience the higher your internet speed the better for streaming. We have found participants using upload and download speeds of 5 to 30 Mbps or higher have the best experience of the sound technology in our audio exercises.
• Desktop or laptop computer with a camera and a microphone. Please do not use a tablet or your smartphone, as Zoom does not transmit stereo over mobile devices.
• Over-ear wired stereo headphones (recommended) with a cord long enough to reach the place where you will be listening to the meditation. If you don’t own over-ear headphones, Audio Technica M30X is the brand we use at Monroe’s Virginia campus.
• We do not recommend using wireless, Bluetooth, or noise-canceling headphones as they compress the audio frequencies (except Bose QuietComfort 35 over-ear headphones). We don’t recommend earbuds but, if you prefer using them, they should be good quality and wired.
• If you have not used Zoom before, please familiarize yourself with it before the meeting (there are videos and instructional guides on the Zoom website).
• Create a private comfortable place where you may sit, recline, or lie down during the meditation, with low lighting and a slightly cooler temperature.
• Wear loose comfortable clothing.
• Have a notebook handy for journaling.

Experience, expand, enjoy!
