Beach Vacation in Paradise OBX - Ocracoke Island, NC (Blackbeard's Hangout)

Have you always wanted to go to Paradise but didn't know where it was located?

Look no further because we found it on Ocracoke island, Outer Banks, NC.

It is better than Negril, Jamaica!

Price of $500 for the week includes: one private bedroom with either a Queen or Double bed in a private cottage on Pamlico sound with WiFi, washer/dryer, kitchen (fully equipped), bathroom, living room with TV and movies, decks in front and back overlooking Pamlico sound with a picnic table, and you get one set of sheets and pillow cases, and towel set.

Bike rental is included for the week (and we need them to get around without parking hassles).

Order your own kayak for the week and they deliver it but that is extra and on your own (you can get it when you arrive) ~$70.

Look at this deserted beach on Ocracoke. This is my photo from our last vacation in Paradise in June, 2013. Temperature is in the 80's and perfect for bike riding, hiking, no bugs, and the water is warm in NC end of May so we can also go swimming.

You could literally run around naked if it were legal, and it actually is legal in a certain place on the island where there is a nude beach (shhhh!).

Who can see you anyway? Birds? Crabs? Fish? Your mate? (OK, maybe the occasional patrolling police who get off work at 5 pm. )

Ocracoke beach is a long stretch of wildlife refuge with no hotels at all. It's so fabulous, even their wild horses couldn't drag you away.

Look at the quaint village of Ocracoke with it's majestic lighthouse proudly guarding the safety of it's ships.

And the sunsets over Pamlico sound are to die for! We can kayak on the sound from our cottage every evening after dinner.

Eat at great restaurants with friendly chefs.

See the famous Ocracoke lighthouse. And see the Hatteras Lighthouse on your way back. They it saved from being swept away by the ocean years ago. They moved it, thanks to your donations.

My picture from our last visit.

Things to do list: make vitamin D3!, tan, swim, kayak, parasail, surf, bike ride, hike, jog, ride on boats and ferries, fish off shore or charter boat, explore nature, see wild ponies, and we'll go horseback riding on the beach! 4x4 beach and marsh ride. Read a book, if you have time for it. LOL

There is so much to do and so little time to do it all in; we will need to take another vacation just to recover when we get home!

We will meet and greet Saturday night 6-9 pm at SMacNally's outdoor raw pub & grill with drinks, food and live music on Silver Lake (Anchorage Marina). I will give keys and address to those who got the cottage; the rest of us can relax with a cold one and listen to music as we get to know one another after our long drive to paradise (why did they put it so far away?).

Reggie music is playing below.

The Spanish Mackerel is amazing, but get the Red Drum if they have it (Fabulous!). Very affordable food and drinks.

See where they are and what they have to eat on link below.

http://www.smacnallys.com/

You can get a private bedroom with a Queen or double bed in our cottage on the sound as shown below. First come, first served.

The cottage shown that is available will be shared with 4 total people, including me for $500 for the week (can stay fewer days but the price is the same). We also have a sandy beach area to launch our kayaks at sunset or anytime of day.

Room includes set of sheets/pillows and one set of towels and set of dish towels for the kitchen.

Can rent a kayak for ~$70 (recommended ahead of time).

Insurance covers a Full refund in the event of inclement weather, e.g., Hurricane.

Contact me for availability and contract to sign. [masked]

Or, get your own place; room in motel, B&B or cottage.

As far as I'm concerned, the porch picnic table is fine. I'm gonna be running around too much to collect dust. LOL
