Open Tech Scene | April Lightning Talks
Details
An evening to get together to discuss open technologies, and socialise as techies!
We meet at Codebase, Edinburgh, to talk about anything in the open technology scene - open hardware, open source, community, and makers.
This event will be a series of lightning talks about open technology.
We are always looking for more talks and speakers! You would be surprised to learn that you do know something other people want to hear about!
If you would like to propose a talk, message us on Meetup, or open a Github Issue at https://github.com/TOTES-Edinburgh/TOTES-Edinburgh.github.io/issues ๐
We will kick off at 7pm with the following programme of lightning talks (5-10min each):
- Opening notes
- Martin Jones : Using Python to read smart meter data
- Tai : Career, and modding in Minetest
- (Social, drinks, snacks)
- Miles Gould : The Minimal Superpermutation of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Laurence Hole : Maintainable Pandas
- Closing notes
Talks will be livestreamed on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXcRBFAZu10
Do bring any snacks and refreshments you would like. There will be some provided as well :-)
The Codebase event will be followed by further opportunity to chat and socialize at the nearby Blue Blazer pub.
We look forward to seeing you all!
