At Techstars Startup Weekend (TSW) events, the developer, designer, and non-technical communities come together to pitch their ideas, form teams, validate their concepts, build products, and launch startups in just 54 hours!
The event is a startup crash course and runs for three days over a weekend:
• Day 1 - Attendees pitch their ideas, vote for their favorites, form teams, and start working
• Day 2 - Teams work to validate their concept and design and build products. Mentors provide advice on strategy, user interface and experience, programming, or any other roadblocks the teams face.
• Day 3 - Teams refine their products and develop their demos. At the end of the weekend, the teams present to a panel of judges, who vote on the winners.
Many teams continue to work together after the event, and some companies launched at TSWDC have been accepted to accelerators and received funding.
Each time, 100+ innovators gather to build a business model, launch products, and meet their future co-founders, partners and funders.
