This is a place for TV writers to get together and do something different than the typical shmoozy Hollywood networking thing. No crowded bars or stilted small talk. This is an opportunity to hang out casually, roll dice, get weird, tell stories, gripe, gossip, goof off and generally make fools of ourselves. Also, there's cake.
Not a big board game person? Whatever. No big deal. Swing by anyway. The venue we're going to (The Game Haus Cafe in Glendale) has over 1,000 different board, card and party games to choose from. I'll bet we can find something light, easy and accessible for you to enjoy.
Whether you prefer party games (Cards Against Humanity), family games (Ticket to Ride) or strategy-heavy euro games (from Settlers of Catan to Twilight Imperium) there's sure to be something for you.
PS. At the moment this group is only open to writers who are currently or who have previously staffed on a scripted television series. So, please tell a bit about what show you work on (or previously worked on) when you reach out to join.
