What we're about

We are a group for Information, Support and fellowship for the LGBTQ community, family and friends. Come and share your experiences, learn from others and find a loving caring place that welcomes you.

Our members are both people in the LGBT (and QQ) community, and their families, friends and supporters. We have spouses, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, extended family members, friends and people who are trying to find their own path and place in the rainbow spectrum.

We have meet monthly in a support meeting for members to connect, find support, share experiences.

Our group is non-denominational, but we do meet in a safe environment in a Woodlands area welcoming church and we have members with a big diversity of faith.

Members range in age from teens to seniors

Besides support meetings, we want to have fun activities outside of our regular meetings so we can get to know each other in many ways.

We welcome couples, spouses, family and singles.

Hello, the Southern Montgomery LGBT support group is going to have an On-Line Happy Hour meeting this coming Wednesday, September 23, starting at 7:00 pm and going until 9:00 pm. After a bit of social time and introductions, we will have a check in, circle discussion, then move on to topics of interest to our participants. The meeting will be held using the Zoom program, and you should be able to access it from a Desktop, Laptop, Tablet or smartphone. The meeting is the most enjoyable if you have a microphone and webcam on your device, but this is not necessary. Dial in numbers are below in the invitation. Our usual ground rules will apply: · No screen captures, or other recordings of the meeting, · No politics or religious discussions. · Limit your remarks to 2 minutes each, give everyone a chance to speak. · Your comments should be your feelings and reactions, do not assume how others are feeling or reacting. In addition to our meeting ground rules, for a Zoom meeting you should consider: · Be aware of the background that is showing in your webcam to protect your privacy. · It is best that you be on mute unless you are speaking to prevent cross talking and feedback that can be disturbing to everyone. · We recommend that you use the reaction buttons in the application to show a thumbs up rather than speaking to show support. · There will also be a chat scroll available for comments to the group.
