I'm running a DND 5th edition adaptation of the 4e Eberron published campaign "Seekers of the Ashen Crown." The Ashen Crown has been lost for centuries, yet its fragments remain of great interest to Morgrave University, the King's Citadel, and other, more nefarious organizations. The discovery of a fragment beneath the city of Sharn triggers a race for the remaining pieces. Conspiracy and treachery abound as the forces of good and evil converge to reclaim the sundered crown.
So far, the party was initially hired by Morlic Torranol, the Dwarf foreman at the Tain Foundry in Sharn, and Olakki, a Hobgoblin Priest of thee Sovereign Host to rid the Cogs of a Kruthik (reptilian-insect hybrid vermin) infestation. While seeking out the Kruthik nest, the adventurers discovered a lost tomb dedicated to an ancient Hobgoblin warlord named Ashurta. They finally found the tomb of Ashurta, battled him and his guardians, and put the undead warlord to rest. They discovered a legendary blade belonging to Ashurta along with rumors of an ancient artifact called "the Ashen Crown." They ended the Kruthik infestation plaguing the cogs district by killing the Hive Lord, and collected their reward.
Several members used their connection with the Sharn Inquisitive to ensure that the tale of their adventure made the front page of the paper. Intrigued by the stories of the Ashen Crown, the players met up with Professor Gydd Nephret of Morgrave University who helped research the artifact. She also introduced them to Lady Dannae Ulyan, a mysterious elf noblewoman from Aerenal. Lady Dannae gave a very generous offer for Ashurta's blade, but the PCs declined. The PCs then were approached by the King's Citadel of Breland and agreed to work for the organization (with their goal of assisting the Wordbearer goblin clan in finding the pieces of the Ashen Crown). The PCs then received word from Gydd that Lady Dannae is not who she said she was, and hurried to her apartment- discovering that it had been ransacked. They fought off several of Dannae's agents, some undead creatures, and discovered that Dannae is actually Demise, an agent of the Emerald Claw.
The group then found out that Professor Nephret actually managed to escape the minions of Demise; and traveled with her across Breland to Ardev. After purchasing a fare on a House Orien carriage, they headed towards the Graywall Mountains. The party managed to rescue a captured Goblin Scout from a group of Emerald Claw, and then defeated a group of Turakabar raiders blocking the road. They then fought off another detachment of the Emerald Claw, and discovered that while the late Captain Warrick wanted them dead, Demise wanted them alive. The PCs made heir way to Six Kings, where they first talked their way out of an encounter with the Bladebearers (thanks to the judicious use of some divination and the suggestion spell by Rand); they then put themselves in the good graces of the Wordbearers by way of Amalorkar (an honor fight); and finally head into nearby caverns, seeking out Zaarani's solitaire (one of the fragments of the Ashen Crown) while the Wordbearerers seek out Luurtan's cord.
They dealt with the vengeful Bladebearers, and managed to trick the goblins into engaging with a wraith and its shadow minions- although the combat turned into a 3-way fight. The players were victorious on both fronts, killing the Bladebearer group and the undead guardians. They must now venture deeper into the caverns within Six Kings to find the fragment of the crown that they seek.
