Tacoma Photographic Society Projection Meeting
Come and enjoy the monthly digital projection night. Tacoma Photographic Society (http://www.tacomaphoto.org/) (TPS) meets once a month to show digital projected images. Meetings consist of a friendly competition in which each image is judged by a panel of three and put to a popular vote by those in attendance. Image submissions are limited to TPS Club members only. Everyone, including meet-up members and guests can participate in the voting and comments. For more information on entering monthly competitions please go to: http://www.tacomaphoto.org/how-to-enter-monthly-competition . Images submitted for comment is a great way to learn from other photographers and grow in our own abilities. TPS members range from beginning amateur to long time semiprofessional. We challenge each other to progress in the art of photography and our meetings are designed to do just that. For more information about joining TPS please go to: http://www.tacomaphoto.org/membership .

What we're about

Do you want to move your photography up to the next level? Whether you are new to the world of photography or very experienced, this is a group that helps you to have fun and learn more about photography. Come meet other photographers, share images, learn what they know and share what you know at Tacoma Photographic Society.

Tacoma Photographic Society (TPS) is here to assist our members, whether they just started shooting with their phone or are seasoned photographers. To further this goal we regularly organize field trips, classes and other social events. All outings and most events are free for anyone interested.

TPS also holds bi-monthly competitions & critiques that enable members to show their latest work and receive feedback. Note that while joining the Meetup group is free, club membership (http://www.tacomaphoto.org/membership) is $40 per year, and you must be a member to enter the competitions. Non-members are always welcome to attend, view images and to participate in voting for their favorites.
